Suitor – Factory

Cleveland post-punk band Suitor drop “Factory,” the lead single from their second album Saw You Out with the Weeds, out March 20 via Feel It Records.

The track was recorded live in Lawrence, Kansas in spring 2024 by Caufield Schnug and Lira Mondal of Sweeping Promises. That pedigree shows—the production has the same kind of sharp, immediate energy Sweeping Promises bring to their own work.

“Factory” rides interlocking guitar lines and a steady bass-and-drums pulse. Vocalist Emma Shepard leans into the drama without overselling it, pushing the melody forward over densely layered guitars. The song has a push-pull tension between noise pop, post-punk, and indie rock, balancing rough textures with hooks that stick.

After their 2020 debut Communion, Suitor expanded their line up and shifted their sound. Where Communion leaned into soft haze and melancholic art punk, Saw You Out with the Weeds goes for a more direct, wall-of-sound approach. The guitars are sharper, the rhythms drive harder, and the melodies cut through instead of floating above.

The album promises ten tracks of noise-soaked indie rock and nervous post-punk tension. If “Factory” sets the tone, they’re delivering.
